I see a pair of them parked on the snow under the bushes, so I know they are there. I put the sunflower seeds on the sidewalk for the birds, chipmunks, rabbits -- whoever wants them. Your bulbs won't freeze. In fact, spring-flowering bulbs need the cold and overwintering in our climate to be their most beautiful next spring and summer. Just be sure to plant them deep enough - about 2-2.5 times as deep as the bulb's width at the widest part. Estelle,

Any ideas of how to keep them out? What does Morton Arb do to prevent this?
