Here Come the Huskies!

[ comment ] [ email article ] [ print article ] [ rss feed ]

On January 29 and 30 The Morton Arboretum once again delighted visitors with a chance to witness several teams of stunningly beautiful Siberian huskies do what they love most: run, run, run!

And that’s what inspired the Janaury Destinations contest: What is it called when individuals on skis are pulled by a single dog? Tell us the name of the sport. We’re gave “extra credit points” if submissions were spelled correctly!

Deadline for contest entry was Wednesday, January 12, at noon.  All you have to do is post the correct  answer. The winner was selected at random on Friday, January 14 from all correct entries submitted. We will notifed the winner via his or her email immediately following the drawing. But we did not hear back and have been re-selecting!

What can you win? An Arboretum apple-green insulated logo picnic tote - an $85 value! Looks like spring – even while we’re watching the Huskies and their sleds plow through the snow!

The next posted Destinations contest will take place on Wednesday, March 9.
