Gingko Biloba- I believe it is called the oldest tree. You can't miss that distinctive leaf shape!

This the Ginkgo Biloba tree. Before moving to Lisle 13 years ago we lived in the beautiful community of Danville, Kentucky. Our downtown main street was lined with Ginkgo trees. I remember loving the fan shaped leaves. Little did I know I would still be connected to this incredible tree when we moved!

To Keith and and Everyone Else,

Don't forget: the selection of a Destinations contest winner is random - from all correct entries. I suppose if someone doesn't know the correct answer, having more than 100 entries with more or less the same response does tip the scales!

But the purpose of Destinations is to encourage participation - and the submissions this time, in particular, are wonderful. I've enjoyed reading through what members are saying about their trees. In fact, I had no idea that the Ginkgo was so popular in home landscapes!

As I have one in my lawn, I know it's a Gingko (Gingko biloba), but 113 entries before me make cheating easy.
Also, if it were something else, would the Gingko shop still be called that?
