I agree with Kevin, the 2 events that you list do NOT compare to a concert. Needless to say, will actually complete membership form, when concert series resumes. So many of my friends in the area would love to attend and are more than happy to spend more for an evening of entertainment if it is a financial burden to the Arboretum. They were just wonderful. It's very disappointing that you can't find a way to bring them back. See if your members would be willing to pay more for tickets and stay close to home. My husband and I take the grandkids alot during the week-day to the Arboretum; what a wonderful experience for them - but please find a way to bring back the summer concerts for us to attend!!!! Another summer is coming, I think it's worth letting the arboretum know if/that we still care. I do! If cost is the issue, tell us members how much you'd need to charge and let us tell you if we can pay that amount. You have a lot of passionate members saying they'll support higher prices and volunteer. The replacement efforts aren't the same - they aren't as fun or as unique. Please listen to your members! I was checking for this summer schedule and was disappointed to see the summer shows were no longer. I also have been to Ravinia and what it treat it is to see great shows so close to our home.
