We have a 20+ year old silver maple in our backyard that has yellowish leaves. we tried putting down some iron, and it improved last year, but is back to yellowish this year. Recently we noticed holes in the leaves of that tree, too. Any ideas?

I suggest having a soil test and checking the pH. It could be the soil is too alkaline and you need to acidify it with sulfur or humic acid.
