Does anyone know of an arborist who will provide a written opinion on the condition of an old tree that is possibly in need of removal? I prefer an arborist who provides such opinions as part of his/her main business and is not also a tree trimmer (to avoid a conflict of interest). If possible, prefer to receive opinion within the next 30 days.

I noticed that one of the estimators who left us his card had “Certified Arborist” next to his name. I felt better about this company when I saw that – but I have to say I don’t know what a Certified Arborist is.

What does a Certified Arborist have over other non-certified tree service professionals?
