Annual Goes Perennial!

Many of you who give your time, your money and your support to the Arboretum look forward to reviewing our progress in the Annual Report each year. In an effort to reduce our ecological footprint, we have produced a web-based Perennial Report.

Using paperless technology will help save trees, allow us to keep you updated throughout the year and serve as a launching point for delivering our communications to you electronically.

We are hopeful that this site will provide members, donors and others a more intimate portrait of the Arboretum, our programs and our people. To help germinate this seed of an idea, Gerry Donnelly, President and CEO, shares his story on the site. Be sure to check it out under the “2008 Report” section and look for “Tree Hugger in Chief.”

And, don’t miss a new feature this year: you can enter to win a beautiful Tribute Tree, which can be designated in honor or recognition of a special friend or family member. The Perennial Report winner will have a Tribute Tree dedicated to the person of his or her choice. The stunning Miyabe Maple-State Street is located near Meadow Lake, in the central landscape area of The Morton Arboretum.

To register, visit the Perennial Report site and click on “click to enter.” The winner will be chosen at random and contacted by a representative of The Morton Arboretum. Winner must be a current, active member of The Morton Arboretum and over 21 years of age to enter and to win.

Please enjoy your Perennial Report. It is an engaging and intimate portrait of the Arboretum, its programs and people.
